(note, this has been tested on only Macs in the MacII family. Won't Work in B&W! Only Color!)
This neat AfterDark module was written by me (Patrick Shehane) to keep me from
studying too much! I am a Computer Engineering senior at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
This is not Shareware, nor Postcardware, if anything, it is HireMeWare! (or just Freeware if you don't have any interesting jobs to offer.)

Use the controls to adjust the way the module works (of course).
The Size: slider changes the "dot" size. Except, if set to "10, varying": in that case a small nuclear warhead is set off, or the module starts to systematically erase your hard drive. Or, the possibility may arise that this setting causes AfterDark to draw "varying" sizes.
For the shape setting of "@" we reccomend "varying" not be used.
The Radius of Divergence: is the radius in which the lines/dots may be allowed to diverge within. This gives rise to some very interesting patterns.
Shape: is something I added to make life interesting. "•" was the first one created, and then later was followed by "*", "/", "Δ" and "@". Random will pick one for you.
Colors: allows you to select different color schemes. These are truly interesting, and truly difficult to name, so you will see. Random, again, uses a highly complex algorithm to select a color scheme for you: Random();. I have since added Color Lookup Tables to this, enjoy!
Reccomendations:
"•" set to a small radius of divergence ( < 20 ) and varying size. Color: C (or Random) for color.
"*" this is a "sunburst"ing setting. Set to a high radius of divergence, size to varying, and random for color.
"/" set to about the same settings as "•"
"Δ" set this to Color: E and varying size and an average radius.
"@" this is the coup d' azur (to mix my metaphoric french). Try all the different sizes (even varying at least once). Pick Color: E or Rainbow for the color, and a medium to small or even large radius of divergence. I think you will like this one. The curvature is proportional to the square of the size setting picked, so the differences are larger between the sizes. -Oh! And be patient! This is a calculation intense part of the module, so it has a certain amount of delay (especially on my IIx!)
Note: For best results! Let the module run for a while and come back to see the picture it has painted for you!
